And they’ve made the ordering process really easy too.  You just pick the style of mirror {over 35 styles to choose from}, plug in your dimensions and you’re on your way.  Want to know another great thing?  It fits any mirror!  It doesn’t matter if it extends to the wall or back splash, or if it has clips holding it to the wall.  The mirror can be any size too {and can be used in other places besides your bathroom too}. Check out a list of prices and general sizes here.

This is something I am considering for my bathroom, and I just had to pass it along.  What a great solution to dress up your bathroom in a short period of time.

Before & After: Painted Brick

Painted Brick

Mischel Schonberg sent over this amazing transformation to their house.  They were tired of their house looking like every other brick house in their subdivision so they decided to paint their home. Look at the amazing results!  They also upgraded their garage doors from “builder grade blah to carriage house ahh”.

The transformation is stunning, don’t you think?  I’m sure their house sticks out from the rest now!

Ruffle Cork Board

This is a new little project that I recently completed.  I hope you like it.  I wanted to dress up my ordinary looking cork board. It started out looking like this. I spray painted it white and added some ruffles, and this was the end result.

Ruffle Cork Board

I’m so pleased and I really, really love it. It dresses up my office and is a great inspiration board now.  And the best thing about my new ruffle cork board?  It was easy, schmeasy to make.  Let me show you how.

Ruffle Cork Board

  1. I started with some about a 1/2 yard of light flannel fabric.  I cut the fabric into 1.5″-2″ squares.
  2. I pinched the fabric in the middle of the square and hand sewed it as best as I could to keep it’s figure.
  3. On the same thread, I kept stringing the fabric squares.  Once I had about 3-4 on the thread, I would start bunching them and sewing them together and trying to make each one look like a little flower ruffle.
  4. About 10-12 squares later, I had a little flower ruffle.  It took 10 little flowers to cover the top of my board.  I glued them on the board with a hot glue gun.

Viola!  A new little piece in my office.  So what do you think?  I myself love ruffles and they are easy accents to just about anything.   Can’t you just see these little flower ruffles on a pillow, or even a shirt?

Redesign After: Camana’s Living Room

Remember the Camana’s Living Room from Friday?  Here is their finished room design!

FloorPlan

Living Room Redesign

1. Chocolate Velvet Slipper Chairs from Target

2. Incognito Compact Desk from Crate and Barrel-This desk is great because it has plenty of storage and workspace, but when needed, can close up completely and look like an accent piece instead.

3. Modern Rock Wool Rug from Overstock.com.  This rug brings in some color and a simple pattern to pull the space together.

4. Tambe Walnut Coffee Table from Crate and Barrel-This beautiful walnut coffee table brings some of the earthy element into the space that the Camana’s wanted.

5. Arlington Sofa upholstered in Caramel Twill from Pottery Barn

6. Retro Wall Canvases from Etsy seller Marie’s Cosy Cushions

7. Media Stand from Crate and Barrel

8. Carmen Pillow in Teal and Chartreuse from Crate and Barrel-We’ll bring in a little more color to the seating by adding these beautiful pillows.  They provide some great colors and bringing in subtle texture.

9. Gorgeous velvet window panels from West Elm.  This will warm up the walls which, since they are currently renting, cannot be painted.  (Or try JcPenney’s for the same ones at a little better price.)

10. Aspelund Wardrobe from IKEA, Painted Espresso Brown.  They don’t have any storage space for jackets and boots, so this will give them a nice piece that can double as a coat closet.

11. Sphere Table Lamp from West Elm placed on the circle end tables they already have.

Overall, the space accomplished all their goals AND stayed under their budget!  Thanks so much for letting us assist you in your living room design!
