Do you have a goal to freshen your nest with this upcoming New Year? Not sure where to start? Well, let us help you get off on the right foot. Watch the video below for some pointers.
As I mention in the video, all you need to get started is our Space Planner. You can find it on our right hand sidebar, or click here. Here’s an example of how it works. Trust me, it’s easy schmeasy and can save you a lot of time and money in the long run.
Enjoy it and use the heck out of it! If you’ve tried it, let us know what you think! As always, we are here to help if you need it.
Today I’ve got a treat for you! We’ve created a free space plan download so that you can design and rearrange your own space. It’s simple to do and can even be reused!
You’ll need Acrobat Reader to open and print it.
Instructions:
Print all sheets on white cardstock and laminate the grid sheet. After you’ve laminated it you’re ready to go. Cut out the furniture pieces, doors, and windows that you need.
Use a dry erase marker to outline your room, remember that each square is 6″ so each 1 foot piece of wall will take up 2 squares, got it? When you need to do another room, just erase and layout your next space! Yea! What do you think? Will you use it? Let us know if there’s any pieces that you’ve just got to have and we’ll see about adding in another add-on download.
This Monday we’ll do something a little different. Danielle sent us pictures of her Living Room. It is nicely decorated but she’s having a little space planning trouble:
We are struggling with how to place our furniture. We have a chair and a half and we don’t like the fact that it sits in front of the fireplace. The only piece of furniture that could possibly leave the room is the black computer armoire. We’re trying to make sure we don’t have furniture in the entry way and allow flow to the dining room that is on the other side of the fireplace.
So, on Monday we’ll layout her space for her, and I’ll walk you through the process so that you can learn some too!
Don’t forget to send us your Outdoor Redesigns to be entered into the Design Challenge. It ends today!!
