Space Redesigns
Happy Monday everyone!! How was your Daylight Savings weekend? Even though I lost an hour, I am feeling refreshed after a great weekend with family and friends. I wanted to kick off this week with a natural/modern bedroom.

- I’ve been looking for great DIY headboards for a client and came across this. Using two closet doors to create a affordable headboard is genius! And this became the inspiration for the room.
- Since I was going for a more natural look, I found this bedding by Amenity that fits room quite nicely, I think.
- This end table is a perfect look for this room as well, and it has such a modern feel to it too! And I love this lamp from Walmart, and it’s only $25!
- I love the color seafoam and wanted to incorporate it into this space. This rug fits the room perfectly, and gives the room a serene feel.
- In keeping with the seafoam color, I wanted a chair in the bedroom, and this tweed chair is perfect! I love the texture and simplicity of it.
- I really, really like these wallflowers and I think they fit perfectly in this space. The wallflowers were on a textured wall, and I liked that as well. Adding a little texture to the room is never a bad thing!
I hope you have enjoyed this modern and natural bedroom redesign. I just look at it and it makes me feel serene– and ready to relax!
So what are you up to this week? Have any big St. Patty Day plans?

Is it Monday already again? Seriously! Where do the weekends go? I hope you had an enjoyable one and were able to spend time with family and friends, or take a break, or get some projects done around the house. Or do whatever you love to do on your weekends. We spent the weekend with family and friends and resting after all the craziness that’s been going on around us. Traveling really takes it out of me and I seem to pay for it for weeks. Anyone else? Today I thought I would share a little bit of fun and a little bit of serene in this nursery redesign.

And now for a break down of the goodies.
- It all started with this cute polka dot bedding that I found at Land of Nod {which is Crate & Barrel’s kids line– they have cute, cute stuff!!} This bedding has a more boy feel to it so I started planning the room to lean a little more boy.
- I love having inspiring pieces that have some educational value on the wall of a nursery. I found this ABC wall art over at Etsy– and it comes in many different colors so it would work for any room.
- I really love this rug and am tempted to buy it for my son’s room. It doesn’t have a cheesy nursery feel to it, and should be able to grow with you over time.
- And of course your need a great glider in the nursery for those late nights. I love the high back on this chair and it’s clean look.
- And you may recognize this light from an earlier post. I can easily say I’ve fallen in love with it. I love the color pop it adds to the room.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun nursery design. What fun things have you been working on lately?

Happy Monday everyone! Hope the weekend treated you well. I’ve been spending the weekend in Utah and it’s been absolutely wonderful. I even had a chance to go skiing with my husband for an early Valentine’s Day getaway. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. The snow was perfect!
Later this week, I will be able to soak up a little sun in Houston as I go to Mom 2.0 Summit. Are you going? Erin and I both attended the conference last year and it was incredible. I hope to see you there!
Without further adieu, I give you Monday’s Redesign. It all started with this tangerine chair. I love the color and the look of this chair.

And now for a break down of the rest of the goodies:
1. This sleek and modern sofa is a perfect match for this room. I love the color of it and how it compliments the tangerine chair. These great pillows (here and here) bring in the color palette of the rest of the space.
2. I love the texture and natural look of this rug. It does a great job of bringing the entire room together.
3. I love this white table and the contrast it provides against the tangerine chair.
4. The tangerine chair. No explanation needed.
5. A lamp next to the chair would be perfect for reading and providing extra light in the room.
6. I love the pattern of this wall art and think it would perfect placed over the sofa.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this redesign. If you need any help or opinions in planning your space, check out our services here. Tell me, what do you have planned for the week?

Plenty of us are trying desperately to find any resemblance of green in the frigid temperatures and vast amounts of snow we’ve been getting! I wanted something bright and warm for today’s redesign:

1. Amy Butler fabric: Trumpet Flowers in Emerald for some beautiful full length curtains.
2. Wall Paint and Ceiling Paint from Sherwin Williams – Wall: SW 7028Incredible White Ceiling: SW6702 Lively Yellow. Yep, Keep white on the walls, and add some fun color on the ceiling with the beautiful summery yellow-green!
3. Feelin’ Groovy Carpet tiles from Flor-These are easily changed out so if purple isn’t quite your thing, try a white or lime green.
4. Recycled Timber Multi Frame by MarkMay-Loving the more rustic feel and the warmth this frame provides with all the more bright, modern colors.
5. Karlstad Sofa with Chaise from IKEA-Keep it a neutral soft white and let the accent pillows and other colors be the main focus.
6. Accent Pillows from coordinating Amy Butler fabric: Bali Gate and Stone Path. Add some pop to the white sofa with these beautiful fabrics!

Happy Monday everyone! Snow is falling on the ground here. It’s beautiful! {And cold}. I want nothing more than to snuggle with my little one curled on the couch today. So here is a bedroom redesign with modern and cozy tones.

And now for a break down of the goodies:
- This is one of my favorite color palettes. It’s very neutral and timeless. And I love green. Green is refreshing and easy on the eyes. It promotes an energy comfort, peace and balance in a room… which is so perfect for the bedroom. I suggest painting the walls this olive green color from Diamond Vogel. It’s called Sandalwood Tan (8479). If you don’t have a Diamond Vogel near you and would like the color specifics, just give me a shout.
- This bed from Crate and Barrel is simple and perfect and fits the bill too. Isn’t it lovely?
- And the bedding on top from 2 Modern fits with the color palette perfectly.
- I love this chair from Room & Board. It fits perfectly in this bedroom. It adds texture and is visually stimulating.
- This framed sea fan would be a great compliment to the room above the chair, nestled in a corner of the bedroom.
- A set of these lamps on matching end tables on each side of the bed would help balance the room and also give extra lighting when you need it.
- And these sheer white drapes help the room feel cozy, light and airy.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this bedroom redesign and have found it inspiring and helpful. If you need a little extra help with your space, we have good news! We are wishing you a happy holiday season……
